The event will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008, including Appendix B about windsurfs.
French is the official language.
The event is designated as a Category “C” event, in accordance with ISAF rules (article 20) and FFVOILE rules.
The event is open to all windsurfs RS : X
- 9.5 for the men and 8.5 for the women
- 8.5 for the young boys and girls (under 19 years, in accordance with the ISAF championship rules).
In order to be pre registered the eligible windsurfs have to send the entry form completely filled (don’t forget sail numbers and licenses numbers) the entry fee (Checks or Euro checks) payable to Y.C.M.C before the 06th of March.
French competitors shall produce at registration a valid FFV licence (2007), with valid medical endorsement, together with a parental authorisation for minors. Skippers of French windsurfs carrying personal advertising shall present a valid agreement delivered by the FFV.
All competitors shall have cover against third party liabilities and shall be able to produce written proof of this in English or French. The FFV recommends that all competitors are taking up a third party liability insurance policy for a cover-amount of 1.500.000 €. By subscribing to a FFV-licence at a cost of 45 €, the licence holder will automatically be covered for this liability amount. The FFV licence can be taken up at the registration office.
Competitors may be required to carry a “lycra” shirt with advertising of the event sponsor and to display advertising of the event sponsor on starboard side of the sail, in accordance with class rules.

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be available for each competitor after complete registration.
The races will be sailed offshore in front of MAUGUIO CARNON. Course type : Olympic Trapezoidal Type Course.
In function of the forecast conditions and races already run, the organizing Committee will be able to decide, the Saturday 17/03/06 in afternoon end, to do to run a "funny race". This race will not count for general classification of the test but will behave an allocation to the racers. A provisional classification before Jury, taking into account the entirety of the races run with the exception of the last race of the day, will determine the ten first boys (9.5), the five first girls (8.5), the two junior first boys (8.5) and the two first junior girls (8.5) authorized to take the departure of this "funny race". The qualified competitors will be notified by billposting and / or call to voice.
The «low point scoring system» will apply. The number of races scheduled is 12. If the number of races is less than three, the Championship will be not considerate valid.
(a) When less than 4 races have been completed, a windsurf series score will be the total of her scores.
(b) When from 4 to 8 races have been completed a windsurf series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
(c) When 9 to 12 races have been completed, a windsurf series score will be the total of her races scores excluding her two (2) worst scores.
9 RADIO COMMUNICATION
A windsurf shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all windsurfs. This restriction applies to mobile telephones.
Commemorative gifts and competition prizes could be given by the race organisers.
The attention of all competitors is drawn to International Racing Rules, Fundamental Rule 4 - "DECISION TO RACE” – “The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone".
The race organisers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the competitor, as a result of their taking part in the race or races.

Parking for cars and trailers will be located inside the “ Parc des Bosquets ” (near the Y.C.M.C).
